I have been playing on my friends account and now have a level 36 jedi knight and I am about to buy the game myself and I really want to be able to keep my guy. Does anyone know if this is possible???

no i'm pretty sure the game is to new to have any features like this.

you should level up another toon pretty fast though since its the 2nd time your leveling up.
