Jedi characters who have taken archaeology as a crew skill will be pleased when they arrive in the Black Sun Territory questing zone on Coruscant. Unfortunately, Archaeology is one of those gathering skills which cannot be farmed from killing mobs.

So if you’re interested in farming archaeology materials faster than the crew skill missions can provide you, then gathering from archaeology crystal nodes is the best option you can take. Fortunately, the Black Sun Territory questing area has quite a few of them laying around.

You’ll notice that in this post I didn’t use a red path marker for the zone map, that’s because nearly the entire area will spawn gathering nodes. There are tons of humanoid and droid npcs to kill in this zone, and the mobs often spawn along the corners of the rooms near tents or planter boxes. Near these structures you will find many archaeology nodes to gather from, in addition to the opportunity to kill plenty of mobs for green and grey drops.

Being a humanoid rich area, there are also a large number of slicing boxes to gather from if you’ve taken the slicing crew skill. All in all its a fantastic area to farm, so take your time while questing here early in the game and take advantage of what the area offers.
